Female Orgasm Revealed!

Women are complicated beings; therefore female orgasm is way more complex than male orgasm. This happens because women are mental (they get aroused by their brain and inner feelings) while men are visual (they get aroused by what they see)! So it goes without saying that there are lots of myths about sex and particularly female orgasm. The purpose of this article is to shed some light on the top nine female myths!

female orgasm myths

Myth #1: Women can only reach orgasm through vaginal intercourse.

That’s not true at all! Only 20%-30% of women can climax through vaginal intercourse. The remaining 70%-80% reach an orgasm though clitoris stimulation (oral or by hand). Clitoris is way more sensitive than the vagina and it’s easier to stimulate this area. The stimulation of G-spot, which is located 2-3 inches up the front vaginal wall, may also produce an orgasm! Don’t forget that clitoris is homologous to the penis; therefore it’s the main organ to climax during sex. That’s why foreplay is always very important and can help a woman reach an orgasm!

Myth #2: Being in love with your partner increases the chance of reaching an orgasm.

Like I mentioned above, a woman is always more mental than a man, but in this case feeling connected with her partner won’t help her reach an orgasm faster or reach it at all! Sex is all about methodology and a good coordination of body and mind is needed. So having a great relationship with a man can definitely help a woman enjoy sex, but it doesn’t guarantee an orgasm!

Myth #3: All sex positions are the same.

There are specific positions that can deliver better orgasms. The best positions for an orgasm are those which stimulate the clitoris. So the “woman on top” position is considered as one of the best to reach clitoral orgasm. Generally positions that cause clitoris friction are the favorites among women! On the other hand, women who reach a vaginal orgasm easier prefer the “doggy style” position since the G-spot can be stimulated more easily!

Myth #4: The goal of sex is to have an orgasm.

Well, the goal of sex is to have fun! It’s about the journey, not the destination; it’s like a choreography, you have to follow your partner’s moves, feel the intensity and the passion, enjoy every minute of it! If you think too much about the orgasm you may not experience it at all because stress will get in your way.

Myth #5: Women don’t like quickies.

According to common belief, men are always ready to have sex while women need their time and space! That’s not totally wrong, but if there’s no time to organize the perfect set then a quickie is the solution and the woman will enjoy it as well! An orgasm is not the goal of a quickie; what we look for is the sense of passion and the lust. Sometimes this high intensity and short duration sex is what both men and women need in order to let off steam after a stressful day. In addition, a quickie can be better if you don’t get totally naked; just keep some clothes on!

Myth #6: Women don’t like rough sex.

People think that rough sex is a man’s fantasy and women prefer romantic sex. Some even say that a woman can’t reach an orgasm through rough sex! But the kind of sex has nothing to do with the ability to have an orgasm. The majority of women would like to have rough sex every once in a while. As long as it doesn’t get out of control, rough sex will spice things up in a relationship and maybe improve a woman’s ability to climax!

Myth #7: Vibrators can replace men.

Sex toys can be helpful in some cases and of course they can stimulate the clitoris or the vagina, but there no way they can replace a living partner! A vibrator is a good solution in desperate times when a partner is missing, but it can’t become a permanent situation! Maybe a vibrator can be used while having sex with your partner as an extra aid; anyway being in bed with a man (instead of a plastic toy) is the only way to enjoy an orgasm and feel good about yourself!

Myth #8: The louder the screams, the bigger the orgasm.

The noise a woman makes during sex has nothing to do with her orgasm! Some women like to make noise in order to excite their partners while others just feel like it. In any case, a noisy woman doesn’t necessarily have an orgasm; on the contrary, a silent woman may have the strongest orgasm of her life!

Myth #9: A big penis is needed to help a woman reach an orgasm.

In my opinion, this myth was created by men. I think porn spoiled us! A big penis is not what every woman wants since it’s not proven that a big penis can deliver a strong orgasm. Whether a woman prefers clitoral or vaginal orgasm, an average size penis is more than capable of delivering one! Remember that women love the stimulation and the arousal, but they hate pain; it’s not easy for a woman to take a big penis in her vagina and you can take this to the bank! The duration of sex is much more important than the size of the penis since the friction will help a woman climax! So a man should focus his energy on how to last longer in bed and stop worrying about his penis; most women don’t care!

To sum up, it’s not easy to satisfy women in bed because each and every one of them has different demands! We all need to keep in mind that women need more than men in bed and sometimes they want conflicting things which is impossible for us (men) to understand! Female orgasm still remains a mystery (for instance, we don’t even know if G-spot really exists), but we can always try for the best!
